Sr. Employee Relations Specialist - Remote | Wfh

As our Empowerment and Relationships Specialist, you'll collaborate seamlessly with our HR Business Partners and Employment Law Team to ensure the consistent and compliant handling of cases. Your keen eye for trends will contribute to refining our employee relations strategies, and you'll have the opportunity to escalate specialized cases to our dedicated Employment Law Team. Reporting to the Director of Employment Law, you'll be a driving force in nurturing our vibrant company culture.
This role offers the flexibility of full remote work. With a competitive base salary range of $85,000 to $125,000, the actual compensation will be tailored to your unique experience and qualifications.
Exciting Responsibilities Await
Conduct intricate workplace investigations, providing insightful recommendations for resolution to our supportive HR and Operations teams.
Craft well-crafted investigation documents and proficiently manage cases through our online tracking tool.
Offer strategic advice to our Operations management, upholding our values and culture, mitigating liability, and enhancing the employee experience.
Collaborate with HR Directors and HR Business Partners to guide corrective actions, documentation, performance coaching, and more.
Handle confidential information and situations with the utmost discretion and judgment.
Empower managers and supervisors with best practices and strategies for addressing employee relations matters, fostering a positive work environment.
What You Bring To The Table
Bachelor's degree and ideally HR certification (e.g., SHRM).
5-7 years of valuable Employee Relations experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of California labor and employment laws.
Proficiency in state and federal employment regulations including FLSA, NLRA, Title VII, ADA, OSHA, etc.
A track record of navigating various employee relations scenarios.
Practical experience within restaurant or retail operations is a plus.
Exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Flexibility to support operational queries during evenings and weekends.
Ability to juggle multiple cases and projects effectively.
Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with tools like EthicsPoint is advantageous.
