Position Overview
As a Senior Project Manager of Procurement, you'll be a key contributor to our culture, embodying our core values and vision. Your role will demand substantial knowledge and expertise in hospitality purchasing and project management, including budgeting, sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and installation practices. Effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders will be vital for project success.
Responsibilities
Project:
Oversee projects from inception to FF&E installation with minimal supervision.
Develop project timelines, budgets, schedules, and responsibility matrices.
Review and approve purchase orders, RFI's, and order acknowledgments.
Ensure project processes align with contractual agreements.
Mitigate risks and enhance project profitability.
Problem-solve project issues related to vendors, design, construction, freight, and installation.
Participate in regular project review meetings.
Communication
Facilitate communication among project team members.
Act as a liaison between owner/contractor and design team.
Correspond and coordinate with design team and consultants.
Maintain day-to-day correspondence with internal and external parties.
Cultivate and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective clients.
Vendor Relations
Build and maintain crucial vendor relationships to support procurement needs.
Leadership
Foster a team culture of support, solutions, and mentorship.
Coach and mentor team members to enhance performance.
Contribute to leadership and sales meetings.
Qualifications
Education & Procurement Experience:
College degree in Business (preferred).
10+ years of professional experience with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
Computer Programs & Software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Bluebeam, Spexx (desirable), and Exxpedite (desirable).
Project Management Scheduling Software expertise.
Hospitality Purchasing Skills
Expert knowledge of Brand Standards.
Strong negotiation skills.
In-depth understanding of vendor product offerings and costs.
Proficiency in budgeting and estimating techniques for FF&E and finish materials.
Expertise in Value Sourcing.
Project Management Skills
Excellent time management skills.
Proven experience managing hospitality construction and renovation projects.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
Expertise in installation coordination of FF&E and interior design elements.
Strong business acumen.
Track record of client relationship management.
Communication Skills
Ability to effectively communicate complex FF&E budgets and specifications.
