Onward Search needs a Sr Events Manager (50% travel) for a Fortune 500 global e-commerce client with millions of customers. With the end goal of delivering innovative digital products for their customers, my client’s company culture is based on accountability, work/life balance, open collaboration/knowledge sharing, mentoring/coaching –- and of course having fun along the way, celebrating successes, big and small!

This is a 7-month assignment + very likely extension (possible convert to perm after 12-months).

As a Sr Events Manager you’ll:

• Fast paced role! Need to work autonomously; weekend work is required when needed
• Manage all aspects of event planning, meet strict deadlines, and stay within budget
• Establish procedures and train staff to execute them
• Remain current (or ahead of the curve) with trends in event planning, design, and production, and proactively identify and solve operational challenges
• Nurture and build relationships with vendors, venues, and other industry contacts while crafting and implementing the creative and logistical aspects of all events
• Can remote, can sit in any state; 50% travel during summer/fall months; event locations can be on East Coast or West Coast

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Room for creativity; Fresh ideas to elevate to next level; Work hard and Have fun!!
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Jump into the role on day 1 with little training!
• Experience in building and maintaining positive business relationships
• Ability to handle pressure and make good decisions quickly
• 3+ years’ experience proven success in event planning or coordination
• Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
