Job Description
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
An experienced event strategist who takes their work seriously but not themselves. As part of the global communications and public affairs team, this individual would play a key role in developing and telling our story through external events and activations. This person must be a detail oriented, creative problem solver with a passion for implementing outstanding in person experiences.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO:
  • Maintain oversight of execution and event budget.
  • Develop and lead project timelines in collaboration with cross-functional departments to meet event results and objectives.
  • Work in partnership with the regional communications lead and appropriate partners to ensure content results are incorporated in the overall event presence. Content includes but is not limited to keynote presentations, panels, breakout sessions and client speaking opportunities.
  • Co-manage the global activation calendar on behalf of the event experience program.
  • Own event communications and updates to executive partners.
  • Source venues, vendors for catering, décor, technology for registration and/or virtual platforms, audio-visual elements, transportation and entertainment in support of meetings and activations.
  • Work collaboratively to lead a core partner team of meeting planners to ensure events are efficiently activated.
  • Collaborate with the global experiential events team to strategically plan, implement and lead global trade shows and events in alignment of business goals and objectives.
WHAT WE WOULD IDEALLY LIKE YOU TO HAVE:
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of technology and/or software solutions.
  • Shown success in dynamic project management, including project planning and execution.
  • Experience handling vendor relationships and negotiations.
  • Strong practical and technical knowledge of large-scale, multifaceted event management.
  • Time zone agnostic. Experienced in and understands the complexities with communicating to colleagues in a global, matrixed organization.
  • A desire to be part of a tight, impactful global team.
  • A successful track record of implementing large scale events, tradeshows and external engagements in support of global business priorities and messaging.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of bold priorities.
  • An ability to engage with internal and external executive partners.
  • A resilient self-starter who thrives in an environment of ambiguity and flexibility.
Location
United States - Virtual Location
The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
