Senior Manager_Events, Experiences and Activations
The Sage Group’s client, a well-known food company that develops plant-based substitutes for meat products, is seeking a Senior Manager of Events, Experiences, & Activations to will lead the strategic development and implementation of all external events & experiential activations for the company.
The full role will include consumer marketing and B2B facing activations. They will curate meaningful and impactful experiences to increase brand awareness, advocacy, and facilitate product trial in both B2B and B2C marketing channels. You will lead consumer sampling and drive engagement with B2B partners in both foodservice and retail. They will build localized and global playbooks to facilitate the execution of the experiential marketing strategy as the company launches in new international markets.
This position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities to deliver against business objectives. You will work with the GTM team to architect comprehensive activations to support new product launches, new market launches, sampling programs and owned brand activations.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and speak at industry trade shows and be a spokesperson for the company
- Set measurable KPIs for effective brand activations and product launch moments
- Provide event management and proactive consultation for internal and external business partners throughout program development and execution
- Build brand event standards and activation playbooks for international partners to ensure global brand synchronicity
- Develop sales lead generation success tracking and ROI measurement for all B2B events
- Oversee & manage all external facing events and activations for the company
- Lead measurement and evaluation of experiential marketing activities, and analyze results to determine program ROI and impact on building long term brand equity
- Scale activations in the North America market through the development of an ambassador program and Field Marketing function
- Oversee all event planning estimates for project scope, schedule, and resource requirements, ensuring programs are properly budgeted, estimated, and scheduled
- Manage large program and event specific budgets, providing detailed analysis for all events and ongoing programs
- Develop training standards that educate internal and external partners/brand ambassadors to act as representatives of the brand and mission at all events
- Establish criteria for sourcing external vendors and activation partners
- Develop and implement an annual event and experiential strategy and calendar
- Collaborate with cross functional business partners to deliver high quality, impactful brand experiences for diverse target audiences
- Function as an internal & external thought leader by offering best in class expertise for all aspects on experiential marketing to engage consumers and customers
Required skills and experiences:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent relationship mgmt. & interpersonal skills
- Experience facilitating large scale, global brand events
- Deep experience in both B2B and B2C events and experiential marketing
- Self starter with excellent prioritization skills
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, under tight deadlines
- 7+ years’ experience of proven, hands on event planning and logistics management
- Thrive in a results focused environment
- Experience in resourcing and managing freelance contractors and agencies
- A love for culture, learning new ways of doing things and being a brand ninja
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Strong analytical and organization skills
Duration: This is a 6-month project
Location: Fully remote, Pacific Hours
Compensation: w-2, hourly pay rate in the $60-65/hrly range
