Job Description
Our company is looking to hire a People & Development Coordinator to perform various HR and administrative duties. Your responsibilities will include keeping track of employees' records and supporting the hiring process. In this role, you will support and partner directly with the Talent Recruitment Manager. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of Human Resources along with general administrative responsibilities. By working autonomously and efficiently, they will ensure the smooth running of HR projects and operations. In order to succeed in this role, you should have experience using HR software and tools. Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results for the organization. If you have an HR background, basic knowledge of labor legislation, and a flair for interacting with people, we’d like to meet you!

Responsibilities
  • Champion health and safety policies (i.e., worker’s comp procedures, allergy procedures, harassment, etc.)
  • Support other functions as assigned
  • Establish trust and reliability with employees and partners
  • Resolve staff issues or concerns
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates, etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Implement, monitor, adhere to, and enforce compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and standards and local, state, and federal law as applicable
  • Liaise with various partners and specialists in the areas of Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Recruiting, and Systems that support data integrity and file organization
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, etc., and maintain the team’s agenda
  • Support Talent Recruitment Manager and provide daily administrative and onboarding support
  • Manage and oversee recruiting of onsite roles, including job postings, prescreens applicants, interviews, and onboarding of new hires
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts, etc. Responds to routine HR questions and staff requests, including but not limited to employee benefits questions, assist with the resolution of problems regarding access to or payment of benefits, assist employees with paperwork related to filing medical claims, employment verifications, etc.
  • Attend weekly orientations, properly onboard new hires follow predetermined procedures to maintain consistent candidate experiences
Requirements
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience of 1-2 years as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Knowledge of labor legislation
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular)
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP)
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus
  • Expertise across a variety of HR disciplines, e.g. organizational development, leadership and talent development, HR process design, compensation management, HR administration, and diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to work with ATS software (Workable)
  • Experience using professional social networks (LinkedIn Recruiter)
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
