The HR Team at PaperWorks seeks a detail-oriented, energetic HR Coordinator to join the team in our Baldwinsville, NY folding carton facility. We are looking for a naturally motivated and engaged team member that has an interest and background in providing Human Resources support in a manufacturing environment.


The HR Coordinator position is very hands on and for someone who knows tactical HR like the back of their hand. The person in this role would be responsible for providing support to the Human Resources team with a primary focus on processing and updating team member information, personnel files, record keeping, correspondence and new hire paperwork as well as assisting in the coordination and implementation of numerous HR initiatives and programs.


How you will impact PaperWorks


  • Partner with new team members for their onboarding. Facilitate new hire orientation and maintain team member information in ADP WorkforceNow (HRIS). Maintain personnel files, including training records and all necessary new hire paperwork.
  • Spearhead recruitment and retention strategies to meet established growth plans. Coordinate recruitment efforts, establish interview and selection procedures, develop job postings and conduct interviews.
  • Liaison with the Corporate Human Resources team on various matters as member of company-wide Human Resources Team.
  • Partner with leaders to develop work system improvements to raise team member engagement and positively impact business productivity.
  • Serve as a team member advocate and business partner. Create strategic business partnerships with front-line team members and supervisors to promote positive team member relations.
  • Promote and participate in the planning and implementation of communication strategies which deliver accurate, consistent, and timely information on business matters and keep team members informed.


What you will need to succeed


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
  • 1 – 3 years Human Resource experience; manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify both human resources and operational processes with a positive attitude!
  • Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to build relationships and effectively communicate with team members company wide.
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability in taking ownership and initiative of responsibilities and executing them to meet business needs and deliverables.
  • Meaningful technical experience with HR software and command of working knowledge of latest HR practices and concepts.
