We are seeking a highly organized and versatile People & Culture Specialist to join our team part-time. In this role, you will be responsible for various aspects of HR functions, including onboarding for full-time and freelance employees, employee experience, IT requests, providing general department support, and contributing to special projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and has a strong understanding of HR processes. Responsibilities:


Onboarding:


  • Conduct orientation sessions and provide guidance to new hires regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure all necessary paperwork, equipment, and resources are prepared for new employees.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.


Employee Experience:


  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience, including engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and employee feedback mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Act as a resource for employees, addressing their queries, concerns, and providing guidance on HR-related matters.


Freelancers:


  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure freelancers are onboarded effectively, including providing necessary resources and access to relevant systems.
  • Support the freelancer hiring process, which may include screening candidates, and negotiating rates.
  • Monitor the performance and satisfaction of freelancers, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.


IT Requests:


  • Liaise with the IT vendor to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Provide basic technical support and training to employees, as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related IT requests, such as access permissions, software installations, and hardware needs.


General Department Support:


  • Help in the recruitment process, including job postings and scheduling logistics
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assist in maintaining HR records, files, and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support HR processes, such as employee data management, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.


Special Projects:


  • Participate in HR-related projects, such as performance management, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and policy reviews.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring their successful completion within given timelines.
  • Conduct research, collect data, and prepare reports to support decision-making processes.


Qualifications:


  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Google Suite, MS Office Suite, and other HR-related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role, preferably with exposure to onboarding, employee experience, freelancers, IT requests, and general HR support.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities
