Job Description
The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is the top professional women's soccer league in the USA, with 12 teams and 300+ of the best soccer players globally. In just its 10th season, the league continues to grow exponentially: In 2022, the NWSL shattered all-time fan attendance records, more than two dozen markets expressed demand for expansion teams, valuations of teams multiplied by double digits, several new C-suite executives were hired, and the league continues to receive unprecedented interest from sponsors and media partners alike. The future of the NWSL has never looked brighter . Position Description Reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer, the People and Culture Partner will serve as a generalist across several key People and Culture pillars, talent acquisition, talent development, performance management and employee programming. The incumbent will lead the recruitment, hiring, and retention of top talent, while also creating and implementing programs that develop and enhance the skills of existing employees. Success in this role requires excellent organization and communication, relationship building, problem solving, and strong communication skills with peers and leadership. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and support immediate hiring needs as we continue to scale. Primary Responsibilities Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy to attract and retain top talent for the organization. Support job architecture initiatives that clarify career pathing and role/level competencies for our employees. Develop and manage recruiting programs and initiatives, such as employee referrals and branding, social media recruiting, and hiring events, to attract a diverse pool of candidates. Develop and implement employee training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of existing employees. Develop and maintain relationships with external professional organizations and universities, to establish pipelines and pathways to career within the NWSL. Partner with Senior Director, People & Culture on inclusive recruiting and performance enablement strategies and programming. Minimum Qualifications College degree or equivalent certification. 8+ years of experience talent acquisition and development program management. Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and techniques, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with hiring managers, employees, and external partners. Ability to develop and implement effective talent development strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making and measure outcomes. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including EEOC guidelines, and the ability to ensure compliance with these laws and regulations. Salary: $110,000 -$150,000/year (Total Compensation) NWSL salaries are contingent upon candidates' qualifications, functional business needs, and market financials.
