The Details

The Human Resources Analyst is a part of the People Operations team and will report to the Payroll Manager. The HR Analyst plays a critical role in collecting, structuring, analyzing, and reporting on HR processes and data.


Overview of Opportunity

The Human Resources Analyst performs complex analysis in a customer service and team-oriented environment including collecting, compiling, and analyzing data, metrics, and statistics, to make recommendations related to all things people. The HR Analyst should have a knack for identifying trends, drawing useful conclusions, and recommending solutions. This role ensures maximum efficiency for Clutch’s HR and people-related functions, from hiring and payroll to employee training and development.

As a direct support function to the Payroll Manager, the analyst is essential in guaranteeing that employees are paid correctly and on time and that the payroll function is efficient. The HR Analyst completes specified project assignments, compiles and presents technical data for formal reports and presentations with recommendations to respond effectively to technical HR program inquiries and issues.


What You’ll Do

  • Analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Document and follow sound processes and procedures.
  • Assist in the design, documentation and implementation of procedures to streamline payroll processes.
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources, including the HRIS and payroll outputs, surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, and other sources.
  • Optimize HRIS processes, integrate new software, and perform diagnostic tests.
  • Assist in all aspects of payroll to maintain a system that is as up to date as possible.
  • Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies.
  • Assist in the administrative functions of the People Operations team and organization.
  • Generate reports, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports utilizing appropriate reporting tools, in a timely manner.
  • Identify trends and relevant information to share with business partners and HR leaders.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
  • Perform statistical analysis on gathered HRIS data and running queries.
  • Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing company needs.
  • Troubleshoot data and reconcile reporting of data.
  • Perform audits on HR processes including hiring, separations, and payroll administration.
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records.
  • Partner with the People Ops team to make recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture, based on metrics and analysis.
  • Keep track of technological advancements and trends in the field of HRIS.
  • Process and track leaves of absence and other paid time off requests.
  • Document processes, identify HR concerns, and compile data analysis reports.


About You (Requirements)

  • Must be able to manage without a lot of supervision, but also recognize when a supervisor’s authority or assistance is needed.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software.
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • 2+ years of experience using human resource management systems (HRIS).
  • Must be committed to constant learning and process improvement.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar human resources or analyst role.
  • Commitment to detail, confidentiality and quality.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.


Extras we love!

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Experience with UKG Ready is preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • May occasionally bend, squat, and need to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Predominantly operates in an office environment in a stationary position.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, calculator, keyboard, mouse, and phone.

Compensation

$70,000 - $85,000 annualized salary
