Job Description

Our client in the energy space is looking to bring on a full time HR Specialist on a full time basis. This person will assist with day-to-day operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, data analytics, HRIS, and leave administration. This is a temp to hire position.


The ideal candidate will have background in Human Resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, data analytics, and benefits administration.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall data integrity of employee and employment records in HR
  • Responsible for new employee on-boarding including new hire orientations
  • Assist with expense reporting for HR team, as needed
  • Take an active role in ensuring an exceptional onboarding experience
  • Conduct background checks and verify work eligibility through E-Verify and I-9 process
  • Act as "point person" and field questions relating to benefits, onboarding, general HR inquiries
  • Manage and support our benefits, well-being & perks programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401K and disability insurance coverage
  • Responsible for coordination and implementation of various off-boarding tasks
  • Compile data analytics and reports such as EEO-1 and DFEH reporting


Qualifications:

  • Sense of urgency with follow-up on issues brought to HR’s attention
  • Comfortable creating reports and data analytics
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with strong attention to detail
  • Strong Knowledge and skills related to HRIS, labor laws and regulations
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with highly collaborative team and independently
  • Strong time management skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong communication skills
