Fox Sports is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. This role will directly support the FOX Sports freelance employee population. The coordinator will primarily focus on overseeing and providing administrative support during the freelance employee life cycle. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail-oriented, resourceful, and collaborative, and have experience working in a fast-paced environment.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with Payroll, Recruiting, and HR Operations to manage and resolve day-to-day employee issues or discrepancies
- Ability to communicate and interpret company policy and procedures.
- Respond and resolve internal and external freelance HR related inquiries
- Communicate and partner with hiring managers and crewing teams to ensure successful and accurate onboarding. Including but not limited to troubleshooting and validation for data integrity
- Special projects and other duties as requested, including providing the Human Resources department with overflow assistance, employee engagement, etc.
- Monitor and track freelance headcount approvals and business justifications
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure completion of freelance I-9 forms, including but not limited to auditing compliance documents, training, and tracking
- Process freelance employee actions including new hire onboarding, terminations, transfers, and updates
- Conduct training sessions for business related to freelance onboarding and I-9 verifications
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with HR team and all employees.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources required, preferably providing Human Resources support in a fast-paced and nimble organization
- Possess business savvy and demonstrate a strategic focus and sense of urgency and confidentiality
- Working knowledge of Human Resources practices, policies, and basic California employment laws
