Position Description
The Hammer Museum is in search of a Chief of Human Resources (CHR) to provide strategic leadership and direction in the areas of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion (DEAI). As a senior member of the Museum's management team, the CHR is responsible for HR strategy and planning, talent management, organizational and performance management, and the direction and oversight of staff operations and HR budgets. This position requires a resourceful individual who is comfortable dealing with strategic issues as well as overseeing the day-to-day details of the Hammer's HR department. S/he/they will craft an ongoing strategy to incorporate inclusion initiatives and racial equity best practices by collaborating across the museum with all staff to assess programs and necessary improvements and to proactively champion the continued evolution of an inclusive culture in which everyone can thrive.

Special Instructions
The budgeted hiring salary/target range for this position is $185,000 - $205K annually, with salary placement based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
