The Human Resources Coordinator supports the execution of all HR programs. The Human Resources Coordinator is primarily responsible for employee status changes, recordkeeping, and HRIS administration. The position will work closely with HR and Plant Operations to ensure accuracy and compliance in all routine operations. This position will require travel to Plant locations in Fresno & Dinuba and scheduling two (2) evening shifts per month.

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the execution of all HR programs. The Human Resources Coordinator is primarily responsible for employee status changes, recordkeeping, and HRIS administration. The position will work closely with HR and Plant Operations to ensure accuracy and compliance in all routine operations. This position will require travel to Plant locations in Fresno & Dinuba and scheduling two (2) evening shifts per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Research and oversee special projects as assigned.
- Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.
- Conducts temp to hire conversions and maintain a good-standing relationship with third-party agencies and vendors.
- Ability to conduct audits using Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.
- Perform a variety of HR functions to support the Manufacturing and HR team in Fresno & Dinuba including HR Manager, Plant Manager and/or VP, Operations.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely fashion.
- Processes required documents for payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Adheres to all confidential policies/ procedures and conducts all tasks in a pleasant and respectful manner.
- Handle worker’s compensation claims including communicating with claims adjusters, employees, and Managers to provide up-to-date claim details.
- Assist the Total Rewards Manager and Plant Management Team in drafting and presenting performance evaluations, performance improvement plans, etc..
- Process employee data changes including new hire, terminations, promotions, supervisor changes, transfers, and other transactions as needed.
- Ensures employee documents are completed and filed in our HRIS.
- Engage with team members through employee programs, meetings and on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinate and participate in employee events and programs.
- Review and verify employee timecards and supporting documentation.
- Excellent ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
- Excellent computer skills/literacy, with expertise in Microsoft Office
- Must be fluent in Spanish, verbal & written.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, detail oriented and excellent at managing your resources, data, and time.
- Show initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience using Ceridian, Paycom, or other HRIS platforms preferred but not required.
- Use your people skills to provide excellent customer service, in-person, email, and by telephone.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience
