Hello! We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Manager to join the family! Del Real Foods is a traditional Mexican food manufacturer born out of a family farm. Today, Del Real Food makes tamales, carnitas, salsas, and other recipes inspired by the Cardenas' native Jalisco -- all created by hand with fresh ingredients and nothing artificial.

The human resource manager is directly responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s human resources programs, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives, as well as strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:
·Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
·Strategic business partner who thoroughly understands organizations strategic business objectives (OKR), able to communicate across the organization to drive / influence business results.
·HR process improvement including but not limited to HRIS, internal systems / processes, onboarding, training, development, etc....
·Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
·Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring ofqualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles.
·Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
·Understands / Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits
·Researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
·Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
·Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
·Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
·Reviews and updates policies and practices to maintain compliance and organizational specific requirements.
·Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
·Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution skills, and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resource management with demonstrated success in talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) highly desired.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Some travel may be required.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
