Senior Human Resources Recruiter

Duke Energy is seeking a senior Talent Acquisition professional to execute full life cycle hiring activities for a transitioning Commercial Renewables business unit. Successful candidates will be competent in use of concepts and procedures and have advanced recruiting skills with a proven track record of leading complex projects and hiring initiatives.

This role will serve as a subject matter expert in hiring processes and requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in technical recruiting using a variety of strategies.

Responsibilities include:

• Independently develops positive working relationships to effectively complete work activities, to provide strong consultation to hiring managers, HR Business Partners, Business Unit stakeholders, and to collaborate with a broad range of customers.
• Source and pipeline candidates for jobs through internal and external tools and resources (social media, job boards, etc.) with a focus on diversity. Pre-screen and present applicants to hiring managers.
• Conduct Intake sessions with Hiring Teams, create job requisitions in Applicant Tracking System in alignment with internal & external processes.
• Aggregates market and industry data for the purposes of negotiating compensation with applicants and influencing strategic recruiting methods with hiring teams.
• Coordinates all pre-employment activities to include background and medical screenings
• Communicates with applicants for interview scheduling and pre-employment testing
• Ensure that all responsibilities within the hiring and onboarding processes are completed accurately and timely.
• Schedules interviews with hiring teams and coordinates travel arrangements for applicants
• Building and maintaining effective partnerships by developing in-depth knowledge of the organization to create a strategic recruiting plan to attract top industry talent with focus on diversity.
• Providing consultation to hiring managers in the areas of process and compliance with company and/or regulatory policies and requirements in which to mitigate risks.

Basic Qualifications

• Experienced with Applicant Tracking systems (ATS), CRMs, and other applicable Talent Acquisition tools.
• Ability to manage relationships (e.g. influencing and listening skills) with all levels of employees and management.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required to analyze complex issues, develop logical conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations.
• 5-7 years of full life cycle recruiting or related HR experience
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and display effective negotiating skills when dealing with diverse customer expectations.
• Effective communication skills for presenting recommendations to TA management and BU leaders.
• Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in HR or related field)
