Day-to-Day Duties May Include:

  • Ensuring the organization’s hiring practices, Workers’ Compensation and Equal Employment Opportunities are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Managing the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Working with personnel tracking systems (ADP, Unanet) to manage and maintain accurate employee personal, payroll, employment, and benefits information.
  • Investigating employee issues and conflicts and bringing them to resolution.
  • Developing training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  • Assisting Accountant/Controller on semi-monthly payroll tasks.
  • Establishing up-to-date job descriptions compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Updating company records, investigating complaints, and developing company manuals and other documents.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills including successful leadership of projects from the planning phase through completion.
  • HR Professional Certification – or willingness to achieve a certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, best practices, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience with human resources information systems (HRIS), such as ADP or related systems.
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Experience with Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Requirements preferred.
