DLS Events, a premier food and beverage solution company, is seeking an HR Coordinator with experience with high volume onboarding to join our growing HR department. The HR Coordinator will act as a strategic partner to venue managers as well as the first point of contact for new employees.The HR Coordinator strives to find solutions and thinking outside the box is required.The desire to learn and grow is necessary.
Human Resource Coordinator I, II
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing and coordination of the company’s HRIS system, administration of benefits and enforcement of company policy and procedures. A successful candidate will have demonstrated at least 2 years of experience in human resource department, recruiting and/or benefits administration. This individual must support the overall objectives of the company by providing administrative support for all HR functions, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our HRIS system, enforcing company policy and procedures, and providing a positive experience for all employees in a diverse workforce.
HR Coordinator I
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and deployment of HR documentation, policies and procedures, and systems
- Process employment verification requests
- Participate in HR projects as needed
- Maintain HRIS system, organize and accurately maintain personnel records
- Input HR information accurately into HRIS system
- Approve new hires in HRIS system
- Assist new hires through the onboarding process
HR Administrator II
Responsibilities:
- Participate in developing HR policies and procedures
- Handle unemployment and disability claims
- All the HR Administrator I responsibilities
- Process Change of Status requests
- Play a part in employee relations process
- Maintain company benefit program, add and remove members, provide rate sheets as needed, update deductions
- Answer employee queries about HR-related issues, escalate as directed
Qualifications:
- HRIS experience
- Bachelor
- High degree of professionalism
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills are a must
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail industry preferred
- Must be able to handle multiple ongoing projects or task simultaneously
- Working knowledge of human resource best practices
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
- Familiarity with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, benefits administration, and/or recruitment
Requirements:
- This position is a full-time in office position
- This position requires heavy computer use so the candidate must be able to sit for the duration of their shift
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs
