Job Description
The HR Specialist provides support to HRBP’s, employees and leaders on the appropriate interpretation and application of HR processes and practices. They work with functional subject matter experts, team members, and leaders to complete tasks. They are also a point of contact for client related questions and business issues including but not limited to HR processes, leaves of absence, corrective actions and staffing needs involving hiring approvals and position management. This role is expected to assess, prioritize and act on HRBP and client requests as needed and communicate needs that require additional support to the appropriate source. (e.g. Compensation, Organization Management, Talent Acquisition, Global HR Operations).


Responsibilities


  • Ongoing reporting, analysis and auditing of employee data to ensure accuracy across areas such as open/filled roles, job families, job levels, position and worker locations, PTO, cost centers, variable labor, turnover, and hires
  • Partner directly with an international client related to internship talent review and direct hire / onboarding processes
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with HR functional partners
  • Provide high-quality and timely service and follow through to ensure appropriate action was taken
  • Stay current on tools, systems and processes as it relates to managing employee data
  • Assist in preparing presentations and gathering information as necessary for client meetings
  • Work closely with HRBP’s on union related matters including CBA agreements, annual salary increases, and general union classifications
  • In partnership with Global HR Operations, support on-boarding and off-boarding related activities
  • Assist in advising and administration of HR related procedures e.g. position management & organizational charts, variable labor management & proper routing, and management of job descriptions


Basic Qualifications


  • Significant knowledge of HR systems, policies and processes including: SAP and Workday
  • Strong service orientation, with ability to effectively partner with leaders, employees and HR partners
  • Intellectually curious, ask questions to better understand the business and proactively seek innovative solutions to improve processes or solve problems
  • Demonstrates business orientation and acumen; understands the dynamics of the business and supports/drives HR practices
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment; flexible and able adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as relationship building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power-point, Outlook
  • Can adapt to different client groups and develop a deep understanding of nuances, processes, and internal/external factors affecting the business


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in an HR or customer/client service oriented professional role


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Visio, PowerBI, Smartsheets and AirTable


The hiring range for this position in [location] is $56,400 to $91,700 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
