- Distribute timesheets for employees to review and sign.
- Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
- Compile and maintain HR reports, metrics, and documentation as required. Assist with generating regular or ad hoc reports related to HR activities, such as employee turnover, attendance, or training
- Inputs weekly payroll for temporary employees as well as prepares timesheets.
- Assisting HR Manager with employee issues including possible disciplinary actions
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Coordinates Workers’ Compensation claims, employee clinic visits and required postings
- Organize & Direct Safety Committee meetings with support from HR Manager and Facilities Team
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining departmental records. Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Help maintain applicant tracking system and ensure a smooth hiring process.
- Distribute paychecks as needed.
- Spends time in production departments on daily basis to ensure accessibility to employees.
- Respond to employment verifications as needed
- Assist with recruitment activities, such as job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating background checks.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
- Responds to employee’s questions regarding 401K, benefits, payroll check stubs, address changes, beneficiary changes, etc.
- Answer records or file requests
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures. Help distribute and communicate policies to employees and address general inquiries related to HR policies.
- Ability to multitask
- Effective problem-solving skills
- High School or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Takes initiative
- 1-4 years HR exposure preferred
