About This Role


CharterUP is seeking a Business Development Account Executive (Government Sector) who will be responsible for outbound prospecting of targetable companies in the Government Contracting sector. This individual will leverage their existing contacts and relationships in the aerospace & defense, EPC, and military spece to create partnership opportunities for CharterUP. This critical role within our Enterprise sales team is a motivated and driven self-starter with the experience and desire to manage the initial stages of the sales process, including prospecting, lead qualification, and demand creation.


Compensation


  • Competitive base salary $150-200k and commission target
  • Comprehensive benefits package


Responsibilities


  • Proactive outbound hunting for relevant organizations who aren't actively searching for charter buses (or are searching but have historically gone elsewhere for these services)
  • Manage all aspects of the initial sales process (prospecting, sales meetings, introductions)
  • Cultivate sales through outbound prospecting of targetable companies
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of information and forecasts (call/meeting notes, supporting documentation, next steps,etc.) in CharterUP’s CRM systems
  • Deliver and communicate CharterUP’s offerings and value proposition
  • Meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual sales goals to drive the next phase of CharterUP’s North American outbound sales growth
  • Generates new sales opportunities and add qualified leads to the CharterUP sales funnel, specifically in the Government Contracting space (A&D, EPCs, etc.)
  • Create outbound sequences leveraging CharterUP marketing-rich content and/or custom campaigns that include phone, email, and LinkedIn to secure meetings with decision makers


Experience And Expertise


  • Presentation experience both virtual and in-person
  • Experience as a senior level individual within a government institution
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience in an outbound business development role is ideal
  • Experience in an industry tangential to charter bus market preferred (Freight, Travel, Logistics, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, enabling confident customer relationships
  • High commitment and strong track record of attaining sales quotas
  • Availability for infrequent travel on-site at the client’s location
