THE ROLE
Kokua’s Talent Coordinators are passionate about supporting children, have a “whatever it takes” mindset, has exceptional digital communication skills, and are extremely detail-oriented and organized. The role is primarily focused on virtually scheduling, coordinating, and supporting new talent through the onboarding process to success in the classroom. Your customer service skills are client-centered and you aim to problem-solve as a variety of challenges arise. You have a growth mindset, and exceptional interpersonal skills to easily establish rapport and respect with team members and candidates. You exhibit a high level of professionalism and grace, and represent Kokua in a reputable way.
The current salary range for this position is $35,000-40,000 per year, with a generous benefits and time off package. This is a remote opportunity, but candidates in the Houston area are preferred, given the necessary context required to excel in this position.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Onboard new hires
Communicate and manage a high volume of candidates through our onboarding experience in a professional, warm, and efficient manner. Enroll candidates in our onboarding systems (Paylocity, Greenhouse Onboarding/Recruiting,) and collaborate with team members to ensure that candidates move into the classroom with urgency and enthusiasm. You will become an expert in state and local requirements and provide continuous digital support to candidates through platforms including TextUs, Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
Manage data systems
In Google Sheets, update complex dashboards and our applicant tracking system with candidate information. Efficiently and concisely communicate data across teams. Maintain meticulous records around candidate communication and ensure that 100% of candidates receive communication within set standards. You are warm, friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented.
Create a welcoming environment
You bring positive energy to the team and inspire those around you through your work and dedication. Respond to questions from new hires in a timely manner. You are responsible for setting a positive tone with guest teachers and ensuring they are effectively and efficiently onboarded to Kokua. You are charismatic and compelling and have the ability to network and bring others into our mission.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference in candidate being located near Houston, TX
- 0-2 years of work experience or professional internships
- Teaching experience is a plus!
- Associate's or equivalent work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel, Google Docs, Zoom, Outlook
