The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for providing recruiting leadership and execution of Dave and Buster’s field operations recruiting team. Following Dave and Buster’s recruiting process/system and legal requirements, this individual will drive recruitment strategies for high-volume hourly openings and leadership positions within the stores around the company. The position will also test and manage critical programs in support of broader talent acquisition initiatives. The Talent Acquisition Manager is also responsible for providing mentorship, training, and consultation on recruitment-related topics to the broader team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Guide six Talent Acquisition Partners with sourcing and attraction strategies for the hourly and salaried workforce.
- Provide timely and appropriate feedback to Talent Acquisition Partners throughout the hiring process.
- Work diligently to meet all recruitment metrics, applicant flow, time to interview, time to fill, and candidate/hiring team leader satisfaction.
- Develop and test creative sourcing strategies to attract talent at all levels.
- Align with leadership to drive TA initiatives, including workforce planning, Internal Mobility, and employer branding.
- Consult with Talent Acquisition Partners and Hiring Managers to establish a high-urgency recruitment action plan and strategy.
- Network with the appropriate talent communities (LinkedIn, job boards, schools, alum associations, local or national associations, etc.) to develop and implement new talent partnerships and programs.
- Manage Applicant Tracking System (Workday) and weekly reporting to field operations for assigned roles.
- Ensure quality standards are met, delivery deadlines are met, cost/benefit is considered, issues are addressed and resolved, and key stakeholders are involved and informed.
- Anticipate the future; deliver recommendations for long-term, strategic (programmatic), and proactive hourly recruiting solutions always to be ahead of business demand.
- Partner with the New Store Opening team to develop a hiring strategy for all manager and hourly positions in new markets.
- Manage day-to-day requests/activities such as workload balance, issue escalation and resolution, and recruiting process compliance in partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition.
- Apply an in-depth understanding of the global business environment, specific industry strategies, and specific functional knowledge to attract and source the most qualified applicants effectively.
- Serve as a consultant to field hiring teams and be able to influence them on hiring decisions.
- Ensure that recruiting practices comply with company policies and procedures and local and national employment laws.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reside in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area or be able to relocate to Dallas, TX.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and Outlook
- 5+ years' experience in entire lifecycle recruiting in a large, complex in-house recruiting team
- Consultative client-service mindset
- Ability to travel as needed
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement focus
- Ability to lead, coach, and influence across a spectrum of stakeholders
- Professional presence; exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organization and time-management skills with strong adherence to deadlines.
- Operates at both strategic and tactical levels
