Your Role
As a Legal Billing Associate, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve:
Managing billing processes, including electronic billing, for our Chicago office and assigned attorneys.
Keeping track of billing records and proforma updates to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborating with external vendors and eBilling Hub for electronic billing submissions.
Resolving billing rejections and issues promptly to maintain seamless operations.
Partnering with attorneys to understand client billing needs and provide tailored solutions.
Reviewing WIP adjustments and ensuring compliance with firm policies.
Preparing invoices, reports, and summaries for clients, while ensuring quality and precision.
Contributing to various financial tasks, including cash and trust receipts, client overpayments, and bank deposits.
Providing support for accounting inquiries and assisting with special projects.
Being a reliable backup for fellow Billing Associates and A/R Associates.
Your Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a service-related field, demonstrating your financial understanding.
Familiarity with software tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills, allowing you to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
