Student Support Specialist (Part-Time, Contract) - Remote | Wfh

Are you passionate about helping students achieve their dreams of higher education? We are seeking a Student Support Specialist to assist our clients through the college planning process. This is a part-time, contract role that may require varying hours depending on demand and the admission cycle. Retired counselors and counselors on leave are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Personalized Guidance: Counsel students and their families on academic, career, and post-secondary planning, tailoring your approach to their unique needs and circumstances at each stage of the process.
Supportive Role: Assist students with various tasks, including writing college essays, creating college lists, and finding scholarships, among others.
Education: Provide valuable information and education to clients about the college planning process, ensuring they make informed decisions.
Research: Conduct research based on individual client needs and interests, staying up-to-date with admissions trends and a wide variety of college planning resources.
Resource Connections: Connect clients with resources both within and outside of their high school to aid in their career and college planning journey.
Webinar Presentations: Counselors are encouraged to share their expertise by presenting at our 1-hour college planning webinars.
Additional Duties: Complete any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a school counselor, preferably at the high school level.
Licensing: Must hold a valid School Counseling License.
Salary: $ 30.00 Per Hour
