Role Overview
As a Buyer, you will be at the forefront of our brand's growth and innovation. You'll be responsible for crafting a unique and captivating assortment that keeps our customers excited and engaged. Your creative spirit, analytical prowess, and strong leadership skills will drive our department's success.
Responsibilities
Strategic Vision: Develop and execute an assortment strategy that not only meets but surpasses financial targets.
Trendsetter: Stay ahead of the curve by understanding market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences.
Innovation: Infuse creativity into our product offerings and collaborate with Product Design to bring unique, exciting items to our customers.
Market Insights: Keep tabs on the competition, analyzing assortments, pricing, and promotions to help us stay ahead.
Vendor Relations: Negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and delivery terms while also expanding our vendor base.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, from Planning to Marketing, to ensure seamless execution of our assortment strategy.
Timing is Everything: Manage the critical path to ensure on-time delivery and meet season-specific financial goals.
Data-Driven Insights: Analyze business performance regularly and provide actionable insights to seize opportunities and mitigate risks.
Team Building: Lead and mentor assistant and associate team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Effective Communication: Create an atmosphere of teamwork through clear communication, shared goals, and setting objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is a must.
A minimum of 5 years of retail buying experience.
Exceptional analytical skills with a knack for problem-solving.
Strong organizational, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Solid understanding of retail math.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Team player with collaborative skills.
Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and deadline-focused.
Up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Willingness to travel as needed.
