Are you passionate about Human Resources and helping others? We are seeking a talented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to join our team!
As a Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for providing a variety of administrative support to the HR team, including onboarding, payroll, benefits, maintaining confidential records, and customer service.
Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
Assisting the HR Manager with recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates for union and management positions.
Coordinating the scheduling of exit interviews for terminating employees and conducting new employee orientations.
Maintaining electronic job descriptions and employee files, including medical and benefit files.
Preparing and sending offer letters to prospective employees and ensuring timely submission of new hire paperwork to payroll.
Creating and maintaining recruitment advertising materials and coordinating TB testing for specified positions.
Tracking and coordinating periodic renewal tests and performance appraisals.
Formulating basic queries and reports and responding to employment verifications.
Supporting specific HR initiatives as needed.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree or at least two years of administrative office support experience, with a preference for experience in Human Resources. Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and electronic, are required, along with the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality. You should also possess strong attention to detail and be service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft, including Word, Access, and Excel, is a must. Experience with high-performance teams and the ability to maintain the highest level of professional demeanor in all areas is also important.
