Bioinformatics Analyst - Remote | Wfh

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Integration Specialist to join our dynamic team. You'll play a pivotal part in harmonizing and curating internal datasets, applying the cutting-edge to enable effective data storage and integrative analysis. You'll expand our knowledge base, driving groundbreaking research and empowering future projects.
Key Responsibilities
Reformat and harmonize analysis results, curate essential metadata and prepare data for seamless database backend upload.
Conduct preprocessing, differential analysis, and pathway enrichment analysis of publicly available data sets, optimizing their formatting for efficient database backend integration.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate and harmonize data across various sets, including internal datasets.
Top 5 Required Skills
Proficiency in R and/or Python programming, empowering you to efficiently analyze and manipulate data.
Demonstrated experience in data analysis, particularly in a bioinformatics context, ensuring effective handling and processing of complex data.
Basic understanding of OMICS data, providing you with the necessary foundation for success in this role.
Familiarity with SQL/databases, enabling smooth navigation and management of our expansive datasets.
Proven ability to work independently, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to successful completion.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of hands-on experience, showcasing your practical skills and dedication.
Master's degree in a relevant field, even if you have no prior work experience.
Nice-to-Have (but Not Required)
Hands-on experience with OMICS data analysis and handling, particularly in the context of bulk transcriptomics, will be a valuable asset.
Familiarity with SQL databases, enhancing your ability to maximize data utilization and integration.
