The Learning Coordinator is responsible for training program session management, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, learning reporting & analytics, and project / process work for enterprise-wide leadership and professional development.
This role provides exposure to the design and development of learning, working knowledge of learning technologies, and independent and team-based work. This position reports to the AVP, Enterprise Learning in HR, Talent and Employee Experience. Occasional travel will be required to CT-based locations to support program delivery and team collaboration.
Core Responsibilities
- Enter course, session, and participant information in the Learning Management System (LMS) and manage attendance
- Monitor learning community mailboxes, respond to inquiries or escalate as appropriate
- Manage program costs, invoice payment and allocations
- Coordinate the marketing of training opportunities through multiple communication channels
- Develop and maintain L&PD SharePoint site / Teams site structure for aligned programs
- Coordinate course and curriculum scheduling, logistics, and communications
- Secure training locations, materials and supplies required for delivery (including external contracting with hotel and conference facilities)
- Participate in Enterprise Learning, HR, or enterprise projects focused on the successful delivery of training
- Continually strive to maximize the learners’ experience in our courses and programs through a continuous improvement mindset and close attention to the VOC
- Work with vendor partners to manage training materials, versions, licenses and other contractual items. Ensure vendor adherence to contract terms.
- Collect and report Level 1 evaluations to assess learner reactions, and course and facilitator effectiveness
- Coordinate onboarding & scheduling of vendor instructors and facilitators
- Run and analyze standard and ad hoc LMS and Tableau reports to support biannual nomination process, operating reviews, and other metrics requests. Acquire proficiency in data analysis via LMS reports and the Learning Tableau Dashboard.
- Ensure virtual and hybrid learning is engaging for all learners through innovative use of technology and tools and thoughtful coordination and production
- Ensure successful delivery of classroom, virtual, and hybrid learning events and programs
WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION?
- Able to deal professionally and effectively with employees and managers at all levels of the organization to ensure an outstanding experience with our programs and courses
- Exceptional organizational and forward-planning skills; ability to manage coordination of multiple events at various stages at the same time; including the ability to anticipate and independently handle a variety of administrative functions
- 5 years of coordination experience in a fast-paced decentralized training department or similar environment
- Able to work in a diverse, fluid, and fast paced environment; able to set priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrates superior problem solving, organization, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Adept at interacting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders of different levels and consistently providing exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of The Hartford's vendor and supply management processes a plus
- Detail orientation is a must for this role
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced MS Word, Excel (formulas, functions, macros & pivots), and PowerPoint; Workday Learning or other LMS experience a plus
- Resourcefulness and willingness / ability to take initiative to proactively handle situations, escalate issues, avoid and resolve problems
- Works independently on projects, which may require research, analysis of data and creation of reports. Must also work well in a team environment.
- Solid experience with calendaring, scheduling, travel and expense reimbursements
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
