Learning & Development Program Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

• Plans, coordinates and facilitates the delivery of Learning & Development (L&D) programs and events within Samaritan Health Services (SHS), including the coordination of student experiences, life support education, and simulation-based learning (sim). Ensures the highest standards of quality and service excellence to advance the professional learning environment at SHS. Coordinates and collaborates with Samaritan Health Services (SHS) instructors, educators and departments, as well as external vendors and business partners. Performs the essential day-to-day administrative tasks and organizational work needed to operationalize educational programs and events.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

• Learning & Development is a centralized education department serving a multi-site health system. The team specializes in organizational and staff development at all levels with a focus on workforce readiness, advancing clinical excellence, supporting learning & development, and building great teams and leaders.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience required.
• Two (2) years of experience in a position of similar responsibility and complexity in marketing, event coordination, community outreach, simulation/education, or project management required.
• Experience in creating communications and editing materials required.
• Experience and/or training with MS Office Suite and database management required.
• Experience and/or training with contracts preferred.
