About the Role:


The Director of Global Training & Development is a dynamic and key role that is critical in the development of strategy and execution of best-in-class education for OLAPLEX. The position is key to the partnership with Marketing and R&D in development of all core education for the brand. This includes but is not limited to written and video / digital content, curriculum formatting, training design for both in-person and digital formats.


Central to the position's responsibility is the development of long-term strategy for the development and delivery of OLAPLEX Education concepts and materials, including program design, training methodology utilizing all Brand CI guidelines across all channels and learning platforms.


The position is responsible for a team of educators that will develop, format and launch education curriculum to all divisions / channels to support both core brand collection and new launches. Central to the role is the relationship with cross-functional partners in R&D and Marketing to create a holistic go to market education strategy.


  • Manage additional projects, deliverables and timelines as needed
  • Develop a training plan globally for product related roll-out including the supervision and guidance of all education & sales teams coordinated with regional needs
  • Monitoring and controlling of all projects and training budgets
  • Conceptualization and development of a digital learning strategy
  • Partner with VP Global Education & Field Education Directors to build out Education strategy to support sales goals by channel
  • Provide internationally standardized training templates and training materials to support product knowledge within the regions
  • Ensure development of product related education materials, in alignment with the responsible brand managers (education manuals, educator training aids)
  • Forecast & plan all deliverables with resources to support goals
  • Coordinate input and information from all relevant members of Marketing, R&D, Sales and Education teams when developing educational material
  • Supervision of the recruitment, hiring, briefing and organization of all external hairdressing talent required to deliver a desired result. Guest artists when required.
  • Support the development of service concepts within product initiatives in close cooperation with Brand Management / R&D / Field Education
  • Measure through clear targets, the effectiveness, compliance and reach of product related training and materials
  • Stay ahead of industry trends & competitions in professional categories through ongoing education, product testing & research
  • Partner with R&D and Marketing on-going input for product & service initiative development


About You:


  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to embrace and facilitate change
  • Strategic thinker with examples of solving problems and taking initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confidence when addressing both key stakeholders and new audiences alike
  • Professional licensed stylist preferred
  • Expert knowledge of developing trainings for different learning styles
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the haircare industry in an education management position
  • Competence in managing budgets and financial targets
  • Inspirational leadership style with excellent training skills
  • Experience leading stylists and managing remotely
  • Outstanding team player who is able to work collaboratively with all internal & external partners
