- Support Department Heads in the implementation and monitoring of Fairmont Century Plaza’s operating standards and service standards
- Acts as property champion for INES Academy platform
- Conduct yearly training needs analysis in collaboration with Department Heads and ensure Department Training Plans are up to date
- Support a work environment reflective of Fairmont's values
- Plan, coordinate, and execute and/or facilitate all training activities within the hotel. Coordinate trainings facilitated by external vendors when needed.
- Develop strategic improvement initiatives with Leadership Team for Guest Name Usage
- Facilitate and support Fairmont Learning Programs with a focus on New Hire Orientation, Heartist Journey, Service Culture and Luxury Service Standards
- Follow all safety policies
- Assists Talent & Culture with administration and support as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Work in conjunction with Quality Assurance Manager to analyze Guest Satisfaction Results and plan trainings to address service issues as required
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant information and training records in INES or as required
- Offer ongoing support to Departmental Trainers, holding regular training meetings to review new information, share best practices, and encourage conversation and engagement in training throughout the hotel
- Develop, implement and evaluate new training initiatives (including on-line Academy learning programs) to maximize guest satisfaction and operational effectiveness
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Work directly with the Talent Acquisition Manager and Talent & Culture Coordinator to ensure all new hires receive their New Hire Orientation
- Collaborate with Department Heads to ensure the maintenance and update of Job Task Checklists
- Self-confident and able to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line colleagues to Executives
- Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and LMS
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Second language an asset
- Ability to develop and encourage an open, stimulating and trusting environment that reflects our company Mission and Values
- Previous proven experience developing and facilitating management development training programs
- University/college degree or diploma required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources leadership capacity, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Proven organizational skills, works well on own initiative and as a team, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results
- Formal education or certification in Human Resources Management an asset
- Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills, both written and oral
