Client Organization Mission

The mission of the Ipsos Client Organization (CO) Business Developer is to unlock opportunity and business with new clients and to expand growth within current client accounts. CO Business Developers are senior businesspeople focused on identifying and reeling in new opportunities that will bring value to both Ipsos and clients. They do so by leveraging industry connections, working conferences, leveraging social media, building compelling reach-out strategies, understanding prospect business issues, and then penetrating relevant buying points with Ipsos’ broad portfolio of services.

Summary Of Position

The Senior VP of Business Development is an integral part of Ipsos’ US Client Organization. Those in this role lead pursuit of a defined new client prospect portfolio and may also devote time to expanding current client relationships.

The Senior VP Business Developer focuses their time and attention on sales, primarily by:

  • Effectively communicating the Ipsos value proposition to prospects; adapting that message to attract new clients to Ipsos
  • Understanding prospect strategy and business challenges
  • Staying current on industry and competitive trends
  • Penetrating, building and nurturing relationships in various parts of the client organization (Insights, Marketing, R&D, Strategy, Procurement, Operations, etc.)
  • Building short-term and long-term strategic pursuit plans

The Senior VP of Business Development position has high visibility within the Ipsos US organization, reporting to the EVP who oversees New Client Acquisition. The SCO Business Developer will interact with other key Ipsos senior stakeholders, including Service Line Presidents and Executive Vice Presidents, Global Client Directors, and Service Line Client & Project teams.

  • Aims to achieve balance between developing new relationships for medium/long-term growth and delivering more immediate opportunities
  • Builds effective approaches to 1) pursue new Ipsos client prospects, and 2) expand business within current client accounts
  • Recognizes how clients make decisions and how to better support them
  • Facilitates the refinement of Ipsos services to assure prospect relevance and interest
