Job Title: Senior Vice President, Marketing
Location: Franklin, TN
Position Overview:
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance contract awareness and utilization, create customer retention strategies, drive client lead generation programs, and support sales efforts across multiple market segments. The SVP will lead a dynamic marketing team and collaborate with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, sales, operations, and partner development teams. The SVP will align marketing strategies with business objectives, ensuring optimal customer engagement and revenue growth/retention. This is a position for a results-driven marketing professional with a proven track record in B2B marketing, to work in a fast-paced environment and quickly pivot across multiple industry verticals when developing and executing strategies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee the development of compelling marketing collateral, digital content, thought leadership pieces, and sales enablement materials targeted to specific verticals.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the executive team to drive data-informed decision making.
- Drive lead generation and customer acquisition through effective multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, email marketing, social media, events, and more.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing and communications to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to support sales efforts and achieve business objectives in the Government, Education (K-12 and Higher Education), Private Equity, Real Estate, Fortune 1000, Non-Profit, Corporate, and other identified verticals.
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define marketing goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop marketing strategies that support the sales cycle and drive revenue growth, including account-based marketing initiatives.
- Lead the team focused on the marketing and communication strategy for a new B2B e-commerce solution launching in 2023.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for differentiation within each vertical.
- Work with data analysts to reveal insights for customers including customer segmentations, tenure trends, revenue trends, and other trends, as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing and communications strategies across multiple channels, including digital marketing, content marketing, and events.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision making, and the ability to interpret and act upon marketing performance metrics.
- Proven track record of continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in marketing and communications.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align marketing strategies with broader business objectives.
- Proven track record of at least 15 years in marketing leadership roles, preferably in a B2B environment, with experience in multiple industry verticals, including Government, Education (K-12 and Higher Education), Private Equity, Real Estate, Fortune 1000, Non-Profit, Corporate, etc.
- Proven track record of developing successful marketing and communication strategies tailored to the unique needs of B2B customers.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the proven ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve exceptional results.

- Experience leading teams through organizational change and driving innovation within marketing and communication functions.
