Board Vice President - Marketing

TrashMob.eco is a new environmental nonprofit with global ambitions. We have an opening our Board of Directors for someone who can lead our branding and marketing strategy. This position is extremely important to the long-term growth of the organization. A successful candidate will also take an active role in leading the organization on the executive committee as Board Vice President.

TrashMob.eco helps communities to organize volunteer-based cleanups of the environment, starting with litter. We provide a website and mobile app that empowers cleanup event organizers to recruit volunteers and local business partners, and facilitates interactions with local governments to ensure events are easy to set up, safe to operate, and productive.

Our board members provide necessary legal, financial, marketing, social media, government liaison, software development, and program management skills to the organization as it grows. We're looking for a member who can also help us make informed decisions about the challenges faced by diverse communities when it comes to cleaning up local neighborhoods. Most importantly, the board members bring a passion for cleaning up the environment and implementing programs that enable citizen volunteers to make this planet a better place for all.

The TrashMob.eco board is a working board of directors. Candidates must be able to contribute at least 8 hours per month of volunteer time to the organization.

Skills and Experience:

The following skills are required for this position:

• Ability to work with UX/Graphic Designers to turn the marketing concepts into designs.
• Ability to work with organization staff build and execute the plan.
• Solid experience designing a branding and marketing strategy for a social-media-driven organization
