Job Description

ROLE: Vice President, Global Marketing

REPORTING TO: Chief Operating Officer

POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President of Global Marketing will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our company’s first commercial stage product. As a strategic leader, this role will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of global marketing initiatives and campaigns that educate and promote our product(s) to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and other key stakeholder groups around the world. This role must have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and a proven track record of success in marketing and bring a fresh perspective, innovative ideas, and a passion for driving results. Furthermore, this position will be a key member of the compliance team, and, along with the Legal and Regulatory groups, will establish guidelines and guardrails around the US marketing teams interactions with various stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead long-term brand planning, as well as operational planning by understanding the market and identifying key customer opportunities

• Develop promotional materials and establish a digital marketing platform and shape the lexicon in an underserved and misunderstood rare disease market

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for all promotional efforts to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, and pharmacies

• Ensure that Reneo is sharing the same impactful messaging in all international markets

• Provide commercial assessments of potential new assets and/or additional product indications

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree such as MBA, or a related field of study is preferred

• A minimum of 15 years’ pharmaceutical leadership experience, including marketing and product management, is required. Strategic marketing experience preferred

• Orphan disease experience is strongly preferred

• Ability to manage external vendor relationships and overall ad agency management

• Attention to detail and ability to interact effectively with a variety of functional areas and prioritize diverse projects for multiple disciplines

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Ability to assess the inherent risks of a situation, their potential impact on a project and, based on this information, involve the appropriate team members to make timely decisions

EFFORT REQUIRED & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Office based in the US Headquarters in Irvine, CA is preferred. Remote with an expectation for regular travel to Reneo global offices may be considered.

• Frequent domestic and international air travel with multi-night stays

• We are usually able to complete our objectives during normal working hours, however work in the evenings, and occasional weekend activities are expected

• Requires the physical ability to be mobile in office and professional environment, to finger and grasp materials, use manual computer input methods, and to verbally communicate effectively. Vision demands good depth perception and availability to manipulate objects in three dimensions. On a continuous basis, time is spent sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Also requires the mental ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures, instructions, etc., to write reports, to use logic and data to solve problems, to assess needs, and varying degrees of independence, judgment, and discretion.

• The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate

The annual base salary range we reasonably expect to pay is $290,000 - $320,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as years of relevant experience and skillset, complexity and responsibility of role, and job duties/requirements. In addition, the compensation for this position may also include eligibility for an annual cash bonus and participation in our equity program. Benefits offered include retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and sick days, and health benefits to include medical, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
