The Associate VP, Brand Marketing & Engagement is the global brand leader for the University. He or she directs a large team of web, content, and social specialists to drive brand awareness and attract and convert a qualified audience. The Associate Vice President is responsible for brand architecture and design, content marketing strategy, web performance, and social media strategy and engagement. He or she works in partnership with the analytics team and SVP to define, measure, and achieve key business objectives including web traffic, enrollment, and revenue growth.


The Associate VP, Brand Marketing & Engagement reports to the Senior Vice President of Enrollment Management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support the creation of content across all mediums, with hands-on creative involvement.
  • Direct and coach a team of 15+ marketing managers, coordinators, and specialists, providing constructive feedback and supporting career advancement.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to drive long-term strategy and vision for University marketing while delivering on short-term objectives.
  • Lead team on brand strategy from ideation to launch. Develop, implement, and protect cohesive brand identity and messaging.
  • Develop multi-channel lead generation programs, including setting strategy, developing forecasts, evaluating appropriate budget levels, and measuring results.
  • Direct oversight of the University’s website properties, digital campaigns, email, and social media; and their associated budgets.


KEY COMPETENCIES:

The Associate Vice President is a strong leader and strategic thinker with the ability to work collaboratively across a matrixed organization. He or she should have experience leading and managing a marketing team as well as with efficient management of outside marketing resources. Must possess a natural orientation toward creative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional verbal, written, and executive-level presentation skills are a requisite.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Marketing preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience directly leading a team
  • In-depth understanding of integrated marketing trends required
  • Proven brand marketing leadership with a track record of high-growth scaling
  • Strong ability to drive significant top-line revenue generation
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience working effectively in a team/matrix environment.
