So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.


Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As a Product Partnerships Manager at Square, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing partnerships that enrich our products and strengthen our go-to-market motions to ensure our sellers are successful with Square. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams, like our Product, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and Engineering teams, to develop and drive a high-impact product partnerships strategy.


This is a critical role on the Partnerships team. We are looking for an experienced partnerships operator with a track record of leading complex product partnerships end-to-end, strong business,product, and technical acumen, the ability to work effectively cross-functionally internally and externally, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to drive significant growth of our business. This position reports to Square's Partnerships Lead for Restaurants and will be accountable to the Square for Restaurants team.


You Will:


  • Operate autonomously, being both a proactive executor and strategic thinker
  • Own and execute product partnerships end-to-end, from business development to partner launch and management
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal and external teams
  • Collaborate with Product and GTM teams to develop and lead partner strategy for flagship Square products (Square for Restaurants)
  • Advocate for your partners while balancing Square’s goals


Qualifications


You Have:


  • Demonstrated product sense and experience growing and distributing new products
  • Highly entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment with the ability to thrive under minimal guidance
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the technology sector, including 3+ years in technology partnerships and business development
  • Able to think and communicate creatively, thoughtfully, and with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to negotiate, sign, launch, and manage partnerships from tactical, mid-size opportunities to complex, strategic partners
  • Experience working cross-functionally with various teams, managing initiatives at scale, and delivering results
  • Experience building and managing relationships with senior business leaders, both internally and externally


Additional Information


Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.


Zone A: USD $152,100 - USD $185,900


Zone B: USD $141,500 - USD $172,900


Zone C: USD $133,800 - USD $163,600


Zone D: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
