Overview


Intuit is looking for a highly passionate, talented and aspiring leader to fill a key position as a Principal, Global Business Development (GBD) for the Intuit Small Business Self-Employed Group (SBSEG). The Global Business Development team is looking for a talented and experienced individual to identify, lead and execute innovative partnerships that drive meaningful revenue growth in our Money Segment. The Money Portfolio is an area of strategic focus for GBD and includes payments, banking and lending offerings that help SMBs get paid, pay others, access capital, and manage money. This individual will report to the Head of Business Development for the Money Segment and will have significant exposure across both internal and external executive teams.


The ideal candidate for this role will have 7+ years of experience in business development, and strategy, with a track record of influencing change within large organizations, and the ability to synthesize and execute against complex problems and aggressive timelines. This individual will work cross-functionally to develop and manage new programs to grow and monetize 3rd party relationships. They should be an end-to-end strategic thinker with the ability to influence others via masterful storytelling.

What You'll Bring


  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with a high level of comfort escalating and presenting to senior management when appropriate
  • Capable of leading multiple time-sensitive cross-functional projects
  • Ability to work highly independently and deal with complexity and ambiguity in a very dynamic environment.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge on terms & conditions and legal contract issues.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; ability to frame new, ambiguous and complex issues; able to generate insight through rigorous analysis.
  • BA required, MBA or MS Degree a plus
  • 7+ years of strategy, business development and partnerships experience in the Fintech space
  • Demonstrate strategic and creative thinking, strong quantitative and analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills with developed attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with senior executives at partner organizations, including CEO and CEO staff
  • Proven collaboration and relationship-building experience — with the experience developing working relationships at all levels of management, both internal and external
  • Incredible senior gravitas – compelling storytelling and presentation skills with a proven track record of building relationships and influencing senior executives, including C-level, across companies
  • Ability to form and articulate contractual, technical, financial and strategic value points and strategic trade-offs with partners and internal teams
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment
  • Highly organized individual capable of simultaneously managing relationships and executing agreements across multiple partners


How You Will Lead


  • Inform, influence, support, and execute on our priorities
  • Develop partnerships strategy with the key stakeholders from the SBSEG leadership teams to solve complex customer problems
  • Shepherd all completed partnerships through a successful integration, including internal and external coordination, product and engineering prioritization and problem solving.
  • Establish meaningful relationships with key QuickBooks Online ecosystem stakeholders and cross-functional teams including product, engineering, design, legal, compliance,
  • Works in partnership and as a trusted thought leader with the product and function leaders to inform and influence business strategies (e.g., customer problems, key product gaps, new commercial models).finance, sales, marketing, care and operations teams
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, industry trends, the competitive landscape and deals across the industry
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key metrics to senior leaders
  • Oversee each step of the business development lifecycle: Strategy/planning, pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, terms negotiation, contract drafting, and implementation.
  • Drive complex contract negotiations in close collaboration with cross functional team members
