Job Description
The VP of Business Development & Partnerships at Westbrook Media is responsible for leading and managing the revenue team that is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and winning strategic new business while partnering closely with our Partner Management team to ensure a smooth integration for our new clients into the business.


As a business leader, the VP establishes a revenue growth strategy while balancing their responsibilities as a player-coach. Such duties include operating as a solutions-oriented partner for new business opportunities across our brand and entertainment marketing verticals and driving alignment with our Studios executives to ensure internal synergies are maximized.


As the team lead/coach, the VP will advise on strategic accounts to shape and negotiate complex deal structures that support Media's growth strategy. Additionally, as required, the VP will lead negotiations with key accounts with C-Level/Executives to drive successful deal closure. Other administrative management responsibilities include driving the success of the Revenue team by providing effective support and management, including, but not limited to, setting and aligning the team behind shared goals and tracking performance, and providing feedback as necessary.


This position is a people manager/leader that reports directly to the President of Westbrook Media.


Who You Are:


  • Experience navigating deals with major talent is a plus.
  • Someone with a deep rolodex of brand marketers and agency relationships that you can call upon from day one.
  • The ability to navigate media and distribution channel strategy across several platforms is strongly preferred.
  • A creative seller who knows how to build unique deal structures and connect the dots between brands, platforms, media, and creators.
  • Experience selling branded entertainment and branded content & developing campaigns with brands either at an agency or similar background is required.


What You'll Do:


  • Implement processes to increase visibility into revenue, such as creating an internal profitability tracking system organized by client/agency/vertical/ and quarter/year, resource management, etc., and systematize workflow to ensure efficiency.
  • Proactively partner with the development team to develop ideas and products to take them to market.
  • Identify ways to increase team effectiveness and develops a solution with the support of other team members.
  • Creatively build partnerships in and around Westbrook, effectively navigating IP, network, and partner sensitivities.
  • Drive alignment as a liaison between clients and our creative and production teams.
  • Co-lead & devise a revenue growth strategy outlining ways to create new revenue streams in partnership with Sr. leadership & with executive buy-in.
  • Position and sell products ranging from original series, brand-funded original series, creative services, social media strategy, audio, in-show integrations, and more.
  • Oversee the business development of strategic accounts and shape and negotiate complex deal structures that support Media's growth strategy.
  • Manage strategic programs with brands and creators while overseeing the marketing of those programs.
  • Act as an in-house expert on brands integrating into IP, supporting short-form, unscripted TV, scripted TV, documentary, and film.
  • Operate as a solutions-oriented partner for new business opportunities across our brand and entertainment marketing verticals and drive alignment with our Studios executives to ensure internal synergies are maximized.
  • Maximize your network and foster your existing client relationships through creative efforts.

At Westbrook, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the base salary for this role is between $200,000 - $250,000 per year. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, a candidate's experience relevant to the job and the company's compensation philosophy.
