Manager of Catholic Partnerships
Principal Responsibilities:
The principal role of the Manager of Catholic Partnerships (MCP) is to foster relationships with Catholic parishes, schools, organizations, and key donors while also creating new strategic partnerships that will bring increased funding and engagement for the foundation.
The position will provide strategic support, carefully shepherding partnerships through formative stages while developing and executing creative strategies to advance our mission through Catholic community engagement.
Additional Responsibilities:
As a member of St. Anthony’s Mission Integration Team, the MCP will educate and inspire others to our Catholic identity, Franciscan mission and associated values. The MCP will be expected to enliven the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi among all who serve and are served by the Foundation. As such, the MCP assists with events that promote our charism, including Mission Integration workshops, Catholic feast days, key Foundation fundraisers and special events for guests, staff, donors, and volunteers.
Department:
The MCP reports directly to the Director of Mission, who assigns the roles and work assignments for this position. The MCP will also collaborate with the Chief Advancement Officer, and communicate regularly with the Executive, Development, and Volunteer Services teams.
Catholic Partners/Stewardship includes:
- 6 Catholic Universities (USF, St. Mary’s, Santa Clara, Dominican, Jesuit, Notre Dame de Namur)
- 13 Catholic High Schools in the Archdiocese (SF, Marin, San Mateo)
- 89 Catholic Churches in the SF Archdiocese across San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin Counties
- Various Parish groups and ministries
- Key Catholic donors and volunteers
- Order of Friars Minor (O.F.M. Franciscans)
- 23 Parochial K-8 Schools in San Francisco
- Targeted Catholic social service organizations
- Archdiocesan offices
Essential Duties:
- Contributes to the design and implementation of mission integration events (for staff + public).
- Assists the Mission Integration team in leading volunteer orientations and reflections for Catholic schools and parish groups.
- Works with the Development and Volunteer Services teams to identify, track, and engage key Catholic donors.
- Represents St. Anthony’s at the fundraisers and events of other Catholic partners.
- Supports the Executive team as needed to lead and guide recruitment efforts for strategic partnerships with Catholic institutions and organizations.
- Identifies strategies for recruitment and resources needed to secure strategic partnerships.
- Leads foundation tours for key Catholic donors, volunteers, and visitors.
- Manages active relationships while cultivating new partnerships throughout the region.
- Supports St. Anthony’s fundraisers and large events owning the relationship and participation of any of the above groups.
- Communicates regularly with program managers to determine needs for in-kind donations sourced from parishes and schools.
- Promotes school/church donation drives to meet these needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM is preferred.
- Confident public speaking skills and experience leading presentations, tours, or orientations.
- Graduate Degree in field related to this position preferred but not required.
- Commitment to St. Anthony Foundation’s mission and values, the defining characteristics of Franciscan Minist ries, and a genuine desire to work for a Catholic institution.
- Punctual, reliable, cooperative, self-motivated and team-oriented.
- 3 years’ experience working or volunteering in faith-based or Catholic institutions, preferably within the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
- Detail-oriented, possessing good organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- Fluent understanding of Catholic language and culture. E.g. Ability to effectively communicate the role of Catholic Social Teaching in connection with issues of poverty, addiction, and homelessness.
- 5 years’ experience in a development position or relationship management role.
Part-time or Full-time options available
1-2 days/week on-site, remainder remote
$50/hour on a contract basis to start
