About the Role
Gap Inc is a leader in digital commerce. We operate and evolve a platform that services all Gap Inc brands: Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Athleta. Together these 4 brands form a powerhouse e-commerce engine – one of the largest 25 e-commerce sites globally and the second largest online apparel retailer in the USA. Furthermore – our digital presence extends beyond pure e-commerce – at Gap we call this “Connected Commerce”. Our Connected Commerce initiatives are critical, well-supported and core to Gap Inc’s future success.
The Vice President of Product Management – eCommerce will oversee a substantial product management team. This team drives the vision, experience, product roadmap and business outcomes for our digital engagement with our customers. This is primarily the central ecommerce platform and experience, encompassing: SEO, product discovery & evaluation, product purchasing and account management, search and personalization.
Digital experiences must continue to improve, driven by technological advancements, customer changes and competitive pressures. This leader will rally the organization around a vision, continuously improve product management processes and teams, driving business results and experience excellence.
This position reports to the SVP of Consumer Product Management.
Salary Range: $300,000 - $340,000 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.

- Incorporate brand and business partner priorities into your agenda, supporting brand strategies while holding to the long-term vision

- Balance short-term optimization, feature and experience evolution, and long-term platform investments – including those that foster responsiveness, extensibility and flexibility
- Improve the product management function – processes, practices and deliverables
- Create and sustain a customer-obsessed culture
- Develop, illustrate, and rally the organization around a vision for Connected Commerce
- Bring the vision to life by managing priorities, investments and resources
- Develop effective partnerships across the organization, including with general managers, design, finance, engineering, data science and marketing stakeholders
- Evolve the product management organization, developing talent and capacity
Who You Are
- Experience managing teams of significant size – 20+ individuals; growing, coaching, hiring
- 12+ years of progressive product management leadership experience
- Significant experience in a large consumer digital experience or e-commerce business
- Have worked effectively in a matrixed organization
- Analytically driven – understand customer and business data, leverage data to make decisions, ensure products can be effectively measured
- Strong track record of delivering and measuring product value
- Demonstrated ability to focus teams on customer needs and insights
- Managed large capital / technology investment priorities
