Position Summary
The goal of theDirector of Sales Operationsis to standardize and optimize our sales operations across all sales channels, drive efficiency, and maximize revenue opportunities. This role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer. This role is an individual contributor today but will be expected to recruit, hire, and train a team of sales operations specialists to support TeeTurtle’s growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Leverage data-driven insights to contribute to TeeTurtle’s sales strategy, e.g., the optimal balance of retail relationships and distribution partnerships
- Develop forecasting strategies across all sales channels, including retail, wholesale distribution, Amazon, conventions, and e-commerce, to ensure inventory production and budgeting accuracy
- Establish quarterly sales targets in collaboration with sales leadership in order to measure, track and drive sales performance
Sales Process Optimization
- Develop standardized sales processes and qualification guidelines across all sales channels to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity
- Identify, implement, and manage any technologies required to support the sales organization
- Identify and address gaps or bottlenecks in the sales process, implementing solutions to enhance the customer journey and improve sales conversion rates
Sales Analytics and Reporting
- Work with retailers to collect and analyze point-of-sale (POS) data
- Establish a robust reporting framework to track key sales metrics across all channels and product lines, and provide timely and accurate insights to sales leadership and the executive team
- Conduct sales data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making
- Develop sales performance dashboards and reports to monitor individual, team, and channel performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments, including marketing, finance, and supply chain, to align sales operations with overall business objectives
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate sales forecasting, revenue recognition, and profitability calculations

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing new processes and frameworks for a growing sales organization
- Proficiency in sales automation tools, CRM systems, and data analysis tools (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in sales operations for businesses with retail, wholesale distribution, and DTC sales channels
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging data to drive decision-making and optimize sales processes
- Ability to travel (est. 1-3 times per year)
- A track record of driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and implementing innovative sales strategies
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year based on location, experience, qualifications, and skills.
