Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Director, Electric Vehicles is accountable for national sales and promotional support for any special markets’ product offerings, as well as OEM sales, specifically regarding the emerging EV marketplace (Business Development and Account Management).


Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Research, create and maintain prospect contact lists.
  • Establish interests in our components and company capabilities.
  • Demonstrate how Mevotech can help solve pain points in their current supply chain and/or product offerings.
  • Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements.
  • Account Management
  • Highlight our product offering.
  • Continue to enhance relationships with customer and all members of their team (President, Buyer, Engineering, Finance, Sales Team).
  • Seek out new opportunities in the special markets segment, focused on ATV/UTV, Vehicle Modification (uplifters/outfitters/4x4), and Performance segments.
  • Attend Trade Shows and/or Present at Conferences.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all product lines and key features and benefits.
  • Identify strategic prospects.
  • Update customer on new products and offerings (i.e. Inventory Optimization Tool).
  • Develop strategic partnerships with OE Manufacturers to grow market share within the Vehicle Electrification segment and promote Mevotech’s Chassis Components System
  • Collaborate with Engineering to advise of customers’ needs/specifications.
  • Business Development
  • Field Work with Sales Team to advise of product features and benefits to their specific customers.
  • Manage relationships with Manufacturers’ Representatives.


Your Qualifications Include


  • Ability to travel 50% (across the US and occasionally to Canada)
  • Proven success adapting in fast-growing and changing environments.
  • An automotive or mechanical engineering background is a plus.
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and lead a professional sales team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial sales, heavy duty parts, equipment, MRO, or OEM sales building and leading front-line sales teams.
  • Valid Driver’s license and ability to travel.
  • Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.
  • Track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas personally and as a sales leader.
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both outside, and within the organization.
