We are seeking a Director of Marketing and Business Development for the Voices of Impact Awards, a platform that recognizes and celebrates people with original songs and personal stories that can inspire humanity. We celebrate the everyday heroes and show them how their seemingly ordinary lives are worthy of recognition and celebration.

The Voices of Impact Awards represents a beacon of hope for those who seek to be heard, seen, and appreciated for their authentic selves. By drawing inspiration from some of the world's most impactful events, such as TEDx, the Grammys, and American Idol, we have created a celebration of the human spirit where individuals can feel truly recognized for their struggles, triumphs, and unique experiences.

To be clear, we are a start-up in our first year of launch and pre-revenue. While we have worked with independent contractors and an outside marketing agency, we have not experienced the desired results. We have learned that outsiders although skillful and talented, have other clients and have other objectives. They do not lay awake at night thinking about how to make the VOIA a global brand as recognizable as the Oscars or the Grammys.

For this reason, we would rather find a partner. A true long-term equity partner that is invested and committed to our growth and development and not just someone who collects a paycheck while dreaming of doing something else, or searching for the next opportunity to add to their resume. So if a weekly salary and benefits are important to you right now, sorry, we are unable to offer that.

As the Director of Marketing and Business Development, you will be responsible for the overall strategy, implementation, and execution of the marketing plan, with a heavy emphasis on organic growth. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to think outside the box and come up with creative strategies to reach, engage, and convert our target audience. Our marketing plan relies heavily on earned publicity, social media, and other organic growth methods, rather than paid advertising. You will be responsible for developing and implementing social media campaigns, email marketing, content marketing, and other digital marketing initiatives.

As Director of Marketing and Business Development, you will also be responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with other organizations and influencers who align with our values and mission. You will identify opportunities for collaboration and cross-promotion, and work to build strong, lasting relationships that benefit both parties.

You are someone who has a deep passion for storytelling and empowering others to share their stories. You should have a strong background in marketing and business development in the awards and live events arena, with experience developing and executing successful campaigns that drive organic growth. You should be a creative thinker, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
