Job Description


Myriad Genetics discovers, develops, and commercializes molecular genetic tests that determine the risk of developing disease, assess disease progression, and guide treatment decisions in Oncology, Women’s Health, and Mental Health. The Commercial Training and Enablement team is looking for a Women’s Health Product and Sales Training Manager to plan, lead, and coordinate all Women’s Health (WH) sales training and build relevant learning management system (LMS) content. This Sales Training Manager will also manage alignment with Marketing, Program, and Product Management teams on roadmap planning, product or related launches, competitive intelligence, and tailor training to address current objections and challenges in the field. This Sales Training Manager will have a high level of attention to detail, strong planning and organizing skills and have a history of meeting deadlines. This person should be a self-starter, balanced with a desire to achieve team goals.

Responsibilities


  • Coaches trainees 1:1 with the ability to diagnose trainees' skill level & determine needs of development; coaches on performance & behavioral issues, provides encouraging and constructive feedback.
  • Serves as subject matter leader on Women’s Health products, germline genetics, prenatal testing, OB/GYN space and Fertility medicine space, and the competitive landscape
  • As a leader, demonstrates personal & professional values, aligns department goals with corporate strategy, develops effective relationships, builds team synergy within & across all commercialization teams, maintains a strong connection/ presence with the sales force and marketplace.
  • Manages relationships and strategy with external resources (vendors) as needed
  • Assesses the needs of new and experienced Account Executives and identifies areas for program development and enhancement.
  • Drives constant communication between the cross-functional commercialization team to ensure that all relative information is shared with and communicated to the Sales Organization.
  • Collaborates and partners with business leaders, sales leaders, and salespeople to solve challenges and continually push for excellence in learning and development programming. Manages resources effectively to accomplish goals.
  • Develops & maintains content for new hire training as well as ongoing training. Creates tools for sales representatives to use both internally and within their LMS.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Medical Services and Customer Service to develop tools to support the Sales Organization. Provides feedback and input on any initiatives that are in development.
  • Manages multiple activities, collaborates with internal team members proactively, develop effective training content, agendas & workshops.
  • Conducts field visits and utilize surveys to assess effectiveness of programs delivered. Make changes as necessary.
  • Motivates and trains the entire sales force on existing and new products, including a minimum of four new Account Executive training programs annually. Additionally, continued education for field-based representatives on an ongoing basis.


Qualifications


  • The ability to teach both product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Ability to travel – up to 25%
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in women’s health space required; experience selling prenatal and carrier genetic or diagnostic testing preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 3+ years selling to Health Care Professionals in Biotech or Diagnostics required; Pharmaceutical or Medical Device will also be considered.
  • Experience in small and large group presentation in a variety of settings and the ability to provide clear direction and apply adult learning principles is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and delivering training programs required.
  • Proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Medical Affairs, etc. required
  • LMS Content creation experience is required.


Physical & Lifting Requirements


  • Physical Requirements – stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing.
  • Use of equipment, technology, and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
  • Lifting Requirements – light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
