Job Summary

Waveguide LLC is an independent consulting and design firm committed to providing superior service and comprehensive designs for our clients in a dynamic, collaborative, team environment. Our technology expertise includes audiovisual systems consulting and design, voice and data communications infrastructure, communication-friendly acoustic environments, and ongoing AV operations services. We work together as a team to create strategic technology plans, efficient building and infrastructure designs, and effective technology system solutions to drive the success of our clients’ organizations. General Statement of Duties

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening to join our team as a Project Manager. Project managers serve as the interface between our clients and our in-house design team to ensure accurate information is communicated and all work is completed on time, on budget, and consistently meets Waveguide’s standards of quality. Remote / home-based work is anticipated as the primary workplace assuming the candidate meets the minimum home-office requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive internal teams to meet internal and external deadlines
• Provide regular project updates and reporting to owner. This may include running open issues and action items lists, hourly fee consumption reports, etc.
• Build relationships that empower clients. Be responsive to client needs.
• Coordinate project requirements with internal and external teams
• Assist and contribute to the Waveguide community.
• Monitor and track progress reporting up to a Senior Project Manager or Principal. This will typically include compiling reports with project narratives, updated forecasts and burn rates, updated schedule(s), etc.
• Represent Waveguide at project meetings
• Act as project manager responsible for coordinating Waveguide’s multidisciplinary technology consulting services within the scope of projects
• Ensure internal project delivery processes are followed
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and development of project management skills.
• Assist the project team with project delivery, including project set up, meeting preparation and participation, report writing, and general coordination
• Create and manage project schedules identifying project deliverables and communicate schedules to design team to clarify design milestones
• Take ownership of projects and the processes. Challenge ideas and find ways to improve work products and processes.

Qualifications

• Suitable environment for audio and video calls, 100% remote work anticipated
• A minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience managing professional construction and/or technology projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred but not required.
• Understanding of commercial/institutional design and construction concepts, applications and operations
• Four-year or higher degree in a relevant technical field (BSCM)
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in all MS Office application
