Job Description

The People Support Generalist will be responsible for operating in all aspects of the company’s people support, including but not limited to talent operations, benefits administration, compliance, recruiting processes, onboarding, and maintaining employee records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have a strong attention to detail.

A day in a life for a People Support Generalist

  • Partner with Leadership Development to coordinate and conduct employee training programs, as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of people policies and procedures and employee handbook.
  • Assist with benefit administration to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment.
  • Manage relationships with external people support vendors, such as benefits providers.
  • Analyze people metrics and data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage employee records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to organization leaders and employees on people issues and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Direct employee benefits programs and answer employee questions related to benefits.
  • Works with our compliance partners to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employment.
  • Improve and administer employee promotion and quarterly review processes.
  • Research and recommend potential technological solutions to enable people support.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, such as posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Administering new hire onboarding and orientation, including processing new hire paperwork and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed, employees are set up in appropriate systems, and a smooth transition into the organization occurs.
  • Partner with executive leadership to manage employee relations processes, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Implement and update compensation programs; conduct annual salary surveys, analyze compensation, and revise as necessary.
  • Handle employee inquiries related to people policies and procedures and employee handbook.

Requirements for the role:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration systems.
  • Knowledge of people support policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in human resources or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
