This Human Resources Generalist II position earns competitive pay of $ 19.38/hr. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST II


As a Human Resources Generalist II, you spend your day working directly with internal and external customers. Your work typically involves serving as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping to resolve work related problems or conflicts, effectively implement employee relation strategies, ensuring consistent interpretation and implementation of applicable laws, policies and procedures throughout the organization, conduct internal investigations as directed by the Director and report findings to Director and stakeholders, assist in all aspects of performance management, recommending coordinating employee training activities, perform research, cross-trains and assists in different capacities within the Department. Provides customer service and completes moderate administrative functions.


You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city.


You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with great people skills in providing excellent customer service to all our customers, and finds genuine enjoyment in what you do!


Qualifications For a Human Resources Generalist Ii
  • Requires three (3) years of experience in Human Resources Administration or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university. (Additional education and experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience maybe substituted for the above requirement)
  • Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Master's Degree majoring in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field of study preferred. SHRM-CP or IPMA-CP certification preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Five (5) years' experience in Human Resources Administration or related field preferred.
