Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for administering the primary functions of the Human Resources department. The primary functions include employee relations, onboarding, benefits, recruitment, with a focus on being an integral partner to the functional Manager.
- Advanced knowledge of employment law.
- Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR) preferred.

- Knowledge of database software, email systems, and office software.
- 5+ years Human Resources Generalist experience
- Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies and procedures, and manpower goals.
- Perform audit and compliance functions as requested on items such as audit reports verification, commission reports and payroll information.
- Assist with the organization's performance management process by coaching, educating, and providing feedback to managers/supervisors.
- Provide guidance on employment related issues (such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, diversity, corrective action, and progressive discipline) to operations leadership.
- Assure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
- Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports.
- Provides HR support to operations safety programs, initiatives and processes including return to work and coordination of workers compensation programs.
- Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help to resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement.
- Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including transitional work and accommodations.
- Creates and develops model for sustaining positive employee relations and positive culture building.
- Performs other assignments as directed.
- Generate solutions and implements with input from more senior HR teammates.
- Assist in the annual budget planning process as needed.
- Conduct employee and supervisor training including benefits, policies and procedures and prevention of harassment and discrimination.
- Timely and accurate entries for onboarding including new-hires, data entry in human resources information systems and company software systems.
- Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Conduct open enrollment and other benefits-related programs as needed.
- Provide employee with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable paperwork.
- Recruit and staff from internal and external sources.
- Anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management.
- Perform advanced employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requests, conduct exit interviews.
- Effectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures.
- Conduct complex/sensitive employee relations investigations.
- Travel required to assigned locations.
